On the night of October 29th, 2000, DANIEL LIPPERT and PETER GEIBERGER were killed in a drunk driving accident returning from the site of last year's Halloween event.

Daniel was new to the society, and this was his first event.  After volunteering with our crew dozens of hours, including six hours of cleanup on that day, we all felt that we'd known Dan for years.  Peter was familiar to many of you as Mr. Outerspace, impish host of several terrific events and a tireless worker for the cause.  We will remember them both for their acid wit and good hearts.

Our heartfelt condolences go to their families who have asked that those wishing to remember Daniel or Peter do so with donations to Mothers Against Drunk Driving or Christian Recovery.
