Before the tragic accident that led the society to its time of anguished reflection and sincere change, we celebrated our most sacred holiday by reviving the tradition of the museum of mental decay--not a haunted house but a walking tour of the diseased soul. Long lines of patrons waited in the cold of a skid row alley downtown to make the tour at The Smell on October 29.
Wishing no offense to the dead, we re-create this event in honor of all who participated.
