Do we look funny to you? Do we amuse you?

On Sunday, November 10, we met at the Hollywood Home Depot Parking Lot for a day of bonding with our fellow trabajadores, bringing them joy and cheer. We also tried without much success to make an extra buck or two by getting hired as day labor klowns. Faced with an intolerable labor situation, with too many clowns and not enough jobs, we promptly went on strike and cavorted on our own terms and on our own time through the Home Depot, where the security forces were wise enough not to try anything funny with us.

We waited on sidewalks by the Home Depot and the local U-Haul rental lot and shared cake and payasadas with the day laborers there. Once in a while, a driver would come and stop by the day laborers and ask if any clowns were available for a pickup birthday party or whatever. It not only could happen, it did happen.
